This July has been a “terrible” month.

Our traffic has been significantly reduced.

  • As we told you in our previous Post, we expected it: Summer Holidays are not good for our traffic.

One year ago, our Site was 3 months: Check our “3 months old Site”.

    • We encourage you to compare the results we are about to share with what we had a year ago.

If you want to check all our Monthly Posts, as well as all the Posts we’ve published related with our SEO strategy, results, Plugins…

We’ll divide this monthly publication in 7 different parts:

1. Our Website’s results’ evolution during these last 15 months.

  • Clicks, Rankings, Impressions, Traffic Channels, Users and Page Views.

2. Should we be worried about our Traffic decrease?

3. Modifications carried out this last month.

4. Main Queries that lead users to our website.

5. Our Best Pages.

  • And their Impressions, Clicks and CTR.

6. Our Worst page.

7. Main countries visiting our website.

Lets begin:

1. Our Website’s results’ evolution during these last 15 months.

Total Impressions and Average position evolution.

As you can see, our upward trend has been altered this July.

  • However, these past few days, our numbers seem to be going up a bit.

Traffic Channels:
As you can see, 89.7% of our traffic comes from Organic Search.

Users received:

The solid line represents Users received in July – The dotted one represents June.

As you can see in the image above, in July we had fewer users than in June.
  • 23.9% less users.

Total Pageviews per month:

  • We received 6,029 Page Views this July.

Let’s compare these results with those we had last month::

  • 26% decrease in Pageviews.
  • 25% decrease in Sessions.
  • 13% decrease in Average Session Duration.
  • 3% increase in Bounce Rate.

2. Should we be worried about our Traffic decrease?

As we explained in our “Website traffic decrease in Holidays” Post, we have used Google Trends to compare our results with the average traffic drop we might have expected.

  • Check the post in case you are interested in this simple method.

We’ll use our “Product Mix” page as reference.

  • It is our most searched Topic.

We have Searched “Product Mix” in Google trends to find out how much traffic decrease is “normal” between May and July:

From 89 to 27, there is a 60% decrease.
  • That is our reference.

* We should include more Pages in this study, of course, we just want you to understand how we evaluate our traffic decrease in the simplest way possible.

As we saw before, we have had a 26% decrease in Page Views.
  • Therefore, even though our traffic has decreased, we have had better than average results.
    • 26% is less than 60%.

3. Modifications carried out this last month.

This July, we’ve added Google AdSense to our Site.

In addition, we have added a New Section in our “Website Building and SEO Diary” Page: Google AdSense.

  • There, we’ll share everything we are learning.

4. Main Queries that lead users to our website.

No news here.

Our Main Queries are exactly the same as the ones we had in our previous monthly special Post:

  • Scenario Planning” and “FCP Issue“.

5. Our Best Pages.

No news here either.

Our best performing pages are exactly the same as we had in our previous monthly special Post.

6. Our Worst page.

Here, we have some news.

However, to be honest, Google took a few weeks to index this Page.

  • It is a very good page… but with a very popular Topic.

So… We wouldn’t be surprised if it works very well this coming month (August).

7. Main countries visiting our website.

India remains as our Top visiting country.

  • Additionally, Page views from Canada have increased dramatically in the past month.

Remember: if you are interested in our SEO Strategy, which Theme, Plugins… we use, we recommend you to visit our “Website Building and SEO Diary” section.

  • There, you’ll find a very useful Index with all our publications sorted by Topic treated.
