This summer has been terrible for our traffic.

However, we have already begun to recover.

This last month has been a month of stabilization and increased traffic (compared to the previous month).

  • We hope to finally reach 10,000 page views per month… Soon.

Let’s analyze what happened this August.

If you want to check all our Monthly Posts, as well as all the Posts we’ve published related with our SEO strategy, results, Plugins…

We’ll divide this Post into 6 different sections:

1. Our Website’s results’ evolution during these last 16 months.

  • Clicks, Rankings, Impressions, Traffic Channels, Users and Page Views.

2. Modifications carried out this last month.

3. Main Queries that brought users to our website in the last 16 months.

4. Our Best Pages.

  • And their Impressions, Clicks and CTR.

5. Our Worst page.

6. Main countries that visited our website in the last month.

Let’s begin:

1. Our Website’s results’ evolution during these last 16 months.

Total Impressions and Average position evolution.

As you can see, our Impressions and Clicks (in the Post’s top image) have increased again.

Traffic Channels:

This las month, 91.4% of our traffic came from Organic Searches.

Users received:

The solid line represents Users received in August – The dotted one represents July.

As you can appreciate in the image above, our results in August have been noticeably better than what we had in July.

Total Pageviews per month:

  • We received 6,985 Pageviews this August.

Let’s compare these results with those we had last month:

  • 23% increase in Page Views.
  • 25% increase in Sessions.
  • 6% decrease in Average Session Duration.
  • 1% decrease in Bounce Rate.

These results are much better.

* If you have not visited our previous monthly Post, we recommend that you do so, and compare these metrics.

2. Modifications carried out this last month.

We didn’t modified anything.

  • We were on vacation so…

The only thing we could mention is:  we updated 2 Pages with new and better information.

Nothing else.

3. Main Queries that brought users to our website in the last 16 months.

Our Main Queries have not changed since last month.

However, we suspect that next month (or perhaps the next) we’ll see relevant changes in our Top list.

  • Our Top Queries haven’t changed, but some of our latest Publications are performing better than expected.

* Remember: These are our most frequent queries received since we started this Site so, new Publications need some time to outperform the Top ones.

4. Our Best Pages.

Our main 4 pages are exactly the same as last month.

  • But, as we mentioned, we would not be surprised if in the next monthly Special Post we see some changes in this list.

Before moving to our Worst page, we would like to highlight that the CTR of our best Page have decreased from 11.2% to 9.8%.

Why?

  • Simple: Other Sites have started talking about the same Topic.
    • Now, users have more options to choose from.

5. Our Worst page.

Our “Communicate effectively” Page is our worst-performing page, again.

  • In our 13th and 14th month, it was also our worst-performing Page.

Last month’s worst Page, the “OKR method” Page, has improved its performance:

* In our last monthly special Post we told you that we wouldn’t be surprised if this Publication improved its performance in August.

6. Main countries that visited our website in the last month.

Our visitors from India practically doubled this last month.

  • Perhaps, in India they don’t’ have as many vacations as in the United States or Europe in August.
