These next few days we are going on vacation.

  • And, honestly, we need it.

It’s been 2 years and 3 months since we started this Site from scratch.

We created this Site to share our Experience and create an Entrepreneur community.

We thought that, with enough traffic, people would:

  • Use the Forums.
  • Interact with each other.
  • etc.

2 years and +35.000 Pageviews per month later, we didn’t have a single Active User.

However, as our traffic was constantly increasing, we were not worried.

But, in June (1 month and a half ago) everything changed.

Google released it Core Update and our traffic dropped dramatically.

  • We currently have half the traffic we had.

We had to Remove our entire Social Platform to improve our Page Experience.

Even if it was almost useless, we were hoping it would be used by our Users in the future.

Our current Situation:

  • We are waiting to see some improvements in our Traffic.

Else, we will have to re-think our Project.

We want to be optimistic.

  • But, writing high-quality content and see that your traffic is falling is discouraging.

This may not be interesting for you but, it is important to share Why creating a Site is difficult and exhausting.

All YouTube Gurus oversimplify and give Overly Optimistic advice.

  • 90% of them hide How difficult and, sometimes depressing this is.

They try to sell you something, but we don’t.

  • We share our Real Experience, Frustrations, Tips… In a totally transparent way.

Now, let’s analyze our monthly results and Why we think our traffic will improve:

1. Evolution of the results of our Site.

  • Clicks, Rankings, Impressions, Users and Page Views.

2. Traffic Channels.

3. Modifications carried out this past Month.

4. Main countries that visited our website in the last month.

5. Core Web Vitals Evolution.

Let’s begin:

1. Evolution of the results of our Site.

Average position evolution.

As you can see, our Rankings have been dropping since the June Core Update.

That’s why we rushed to improve our Page Experience…

… Getting rid of all the Plugins we didn’t need.

  • We went from 19 Plugins to just 5.

Users Received:

The solid line represents Users received in July – The dotted one represents June.

Those last days where our traffic is better than what we had 1 month ago, makes us optimistic.

* Since we are going on vacation on July 30, we have used data from June 27 to July 27.

Pageviews per month:

Although we have received 13% fewer Users, our Pageviews have remained almost constant.

  • Last month we had 28,435 and this month we’ve had 28,248.

We guess that, this is due to a improvement in our Page Views per User.

  • Our “Loyal” Users read us frequently.
    • And, the more content we have, the more they read.

2. Traffic Channels.

Our Traffic is:

  • 83.5% Organic.
  • 14.2% Direct.
  • 1.5% Referral.
  • 0.8% Social.

Maybe, we should work on Social Networks like Facebook or Linkedin.

By now, we’ve just published High Quality Content.

  • We have not promoted our Site in any way.

We wanted to have pure data to learn How Google works.

  • In addition, we read studies that questioned the long-term effectiveness of promoting Sites.

We don’t know… Maybe, we should start promoting it.

3. Modifications carried out this past Month.

As we are trying to do everything we can to improve our Rankings, we have renewed our Domain for 4 more years.

  • Some experts say this can improve your Authority a little bit.

However, many Google employees say that this is useless

  • … that Google does not use domain expiration as a Ranking factor.

We have done it because we lose nothing.

  • We intend for this Site to exist for many years, so we would have done it anyway.

We have worked too hard on it.

4. Main countries that visited our website in the last month.

No news here:

The USIndia and Great Britain are the countries that visit our Site the most.

5. Core Web Vitals Evolution.

The evolution of our Core Vital Scores.

As we told you, we have done everything we can (and more) to improve our Page Experience.

  • As you can see, our Results are Improving rapidly.

We don’t know why, but our Mobile Score improves faster than our Desktop Score.

  • We have + 90 in Page Speed Insights in both Platforms.

We hope that, once Google defines our Site as a Good Site (regarding Page Experience) our Rankings will improve.

  • Maybe not much, but enough to recover and improve our previous traffic.

As soon as we confirm it, we’ll share everything we have done to obtain these results.

  • We don’t want to give “almost-good” recommendations.

Remember: if you are interested in our SEO Strategy, which Theme, Plugins… we use, we recommend you to visit our “Website Building and SEO Diary” section.
