Today, we’ll talk about 2 things that “bothered” us in the past (in the title we only would mention one since we had not enough space):

  1. The WordPress logo at the Login page.
  2. The WordPress Admin bar.

Since we found out a “common” solution for both these problems, we’ll share it with you.

In case you don’t know, in this section we talk about How we are building this Website: our SEO strategy, Theme and Plugins we use, our Real Results (Pageviews and Users we have)…

Hence, this Post will be divided into 2 parts:

1. How to remove WordPress logo from the login page and the Admin bar.

2. Today’s Google Analytics report with users and pageviews.

Let’s begin:

1. How to remove WordPress logo from the login page and the Admin bar.

There are thousands of explanations on Internet. It seems very easy, but sometimes it certainly is not.

Believe us, we found dozens of explanations, but we couldn’t apply a single one in a successful way:

  • Either our Theme was not compatible, or it required programming skills, or it simply didn’t worked.

What is the common solution for both hiding the WordPress logo and the Admin bar?

A simple but effective light Plugin called:

Absolutely Glamorous Custom Admin

This simple Plugin worked as magic for us.

It creates a menu where you can easily modify all your Admin menu (also footers, colors…):

  • If you want to Hide the Admin bar (or User sticky menu):

  • If you want to Remove the WordPress Logo from your Login page:

  • If you’d rather add your own image to the Login page:

It is a super-simple and helpful Plugin (we are not sponsored, of course) that solved lot of things for us.

Why aren’t we currently not using it? Because our current premium Theme (KLEO) includes almost the same features and we don’t want to have “duplicate” commands.

2. Today’s Google Analytics report with users and pageviews.

Our Website has been active for 2 months and 23 days.

Each day, we share with you our main SEO strategies and how are we solving the errors we’ve found so far while building this site from scratch, so:

  • You can learn from our mistakes.
  • You discover what to expect when you start a website from scratch.

Let’s see our daily results:

Users:

As you can appreciate at the Post’s top picture, yesterday we had 8 users.

It is not bad (compared to previous mondays) but we’d like to have more users, of course.

Pageviews:

Again, yesterday we had 1 page view per user: 8 unique pageviews.

We are a bit worried about how, recently, our numbers seem not to be increasing that much.

  • We don’t know if it is because we should improve our content or because we are on July 23rd and everybody is on holiday

We are happy about our tendency (check our first Posts) but we have to be very careful so we can maintain this momentum for several months.

  • What is sure is that Building a Website is not as easy as some Gurus tell everybody: you have to work hard everyday and be patient.

Talking about holidays… We’ll rest for the next 2 days: we really need it.

As always, thanks for being there.
