Today we want to talk about a simple but very effective Tool we use in our day to day for checking whether our Titles and Meta descriptions are properly done or not.

It is a free Tool – Website, so don’t be afraid.

When we started this Website few months ago, we didn’t know how to easily check our Pages appearance on Google (yes… we are that dumb) until we found SERPSim.

This Post, will be then divided into 2 parts:

1. What is SERPSim and how can help you with your SEO.

2. Today’s Google Analytics report with Users and Pageviews we currently have.

Let’s begin:

1. What is SERPSim and how can help you with your SEO.

SERPSim (https://serpsim.com/) is nothing but a Google SERP simulator that allow you to introduce your Title and Meta descriptions and check what would they look like on Google. (We are not sponsored, of course)

It allows you to:

  • Introduce your Title and Meta descriptions manually.
    • This is a good option if you are building a Page or Post that is not published yet.
  • Introduce an existing URL.
    • This is the best option when you are checking preexisting sites.

There are plenty of SERP simulators, but why we chose SERPSim?

  • It is simple.
  • It is updated to Google’s current appearance.
  • It uses pixels instead of characters.

This is an important aspect:

Google limits/ cut your Title and Meta description not by counting characters but the Pixels they need.

  • It is not the same an “i” than a “Q”.

Commonly we say: 60 characters for your Title and 160 for your Meta description.

  • 90% of the times, that is enough, but not always.

Technically Speaking:

  • Titles should be shorter that 585 px.
  • Meta descriptions should be shorter than 930 px.

Introducing Title and META manually at SERPSim.

Check how we exceeded the maximum pixels that would be shown.

The result we would have is this one:

Using the “Fetch” option, entering a preexisting URL:

The result we obtain for this preexisting URL is:

This case, we check that there is no problem with our page Title and Meta description lengths.

All of this seems pretty obvious, but trust us: if you get used to check all your Titles and Meta descriptions before releasing your Publications, you’ll save a lot of time and effort.

We initially didn’t check our Titles nor our Meta descriptions and then, one day we realized that some of our best descriptions relied on one or two last important words… that were not being shown.

2. Today’s Google Analytics report with Users and Pageviews we currently have.

As always, now we’ll show you how our website is doing regarding Users and Pageviews.

Consuunt has been active for 3 months and 13 days.

  • You can check our “3 months special Post“.
    • There, you have a summary about our best Pages, our current SEO strategy, how did we solved the errors we’ve found so far… and much more.

Users:

As you may have already appreciated at the Post’s top image, yesterday we had 12 users.

Definitely better than the previous 2 days.

Pageviews:

Regarding Pageviews, yesterday we had 16 unique ones.

At the picture, you can appreciate how steady have remained our pageviews during Summer Holidays.

  • Yesterday we explained how much website traffic decrease you should expect on Holidays. Check it out “Here“.

We know that our numbers must improve, but since our website is just 3 months old, we are very optimistic.

Thanks for being there.

Tomorrow, more.
