Today, we’ll talk about a very simple yet useful Chrome extension we like so much (not sponsored, of course): ColorZilla.

We have been using it since the very beginning of Consuunt and we’ve not talked about it yet.

So, Today’s post will be divided into 2 parts:

1. What ColorZilla is and how it can help you when designing your website.

2. Today’s Google Analytics results with: Users and Pageviews we have.

Let’s begin:

1. What ColorZilla is and how it can help you when designing your website.

ColorZilla is nothing but a Chrome extension that allows you to identify whatever color you want and store it.

That simple.

If you have no idea about design, colors… It is a good option for you for picking certain colors you like and use them later.

It seems a bit “useless” but trust us: when you start designing your Site, you want it to have a nice homogeneous “corporate” color.

  • Else, you end up with a website that seems designed with the old Windows’ PaintBrush (RIP).

How does ColorZilla work?

It is very simple:

It adds this icon on your Chrome’s top right menu:

Once you open the menu, you find these options:

With the “Pick Color From Page” option (the top one) you can select and identify every color you want.

Once you have picked the color you want, it gets stored within the “Color Picker” option:

Check, for example this “red” color.

If you want to use it, you just have to add it wherever you want by Copy-Pasting its hexadecimal identification number (#f40009 in this case).

Of course, this extension has much more options, but since we have no idea about how “color” palettes work, we are happy with just this single feature.

  • We keep our “motto”: simple but effective.

Trust us: it is much more useful than it looks like.

2. Today’s Google Analytics results with: Users and Pageviews we have.

We started our website from scratch 3 months and 21 days ago.

  • As we always say: here, in this diary, we share everything we’ve learnt so far so you don’t commit our same mistakes.

Let’s see how it is doing:

Users:

As you can see at the Post’s top picture, yesterday we had 9 users.

Pageviews:

Yesterday we had 10 unique pageviews.

Our numbers are improving, compared to these last terrible days.

We hope that, on September, we’ll continue with our positive tendency once summer holidays have finished.

Thanks for being there.

Tomorrow, more.
