Today we want to talk about other Tools we’ve employed several times for guessing what is worrying our users the most: AnswerThePublic and Keywords Everywhere.

They are different Tools but together, they make an incredible combination.

Hence, Today’s Post will be divided into 4 parts:

1. What is AnswerThePublic?

2. What is Keywords Everywhere?

3. How can you improve your SEO with AnswerThePublic and Keywords Everywhere together?

4. Google Analytics report: Users and Pageviews we had yesterday.

Let’s begin:

1. What is AnswerThePublic?

AnswerThePublic is a website/ platform that allows you to search for “Keywords” and find out what are people looking for on the Internet related to it.

  • We’ll now show you one practical example about how it works.

It has a free version (it is the one that we use) that only allows you to do a certain amount of queries.

  • For us, that is enough.

2. What is Keywords Everywhere?

This is a very interesting Google Chrome extension.

It shows you how often people search for the terms you look for on the Internet.

How does Keywords Everywhere work?

As soon as you look for something; for example on Google, YouTube… it adds the frequency people search about it and the cost per click (we still don’t know why is that useful. Maybe in the future we’ll find out).

We didn’t know that “fortnite” was so popular.

You can configure it so it highlights (in this case in green) “Keywords” searched with high frequency.

Keywords Everywhere menu.

As you can imagine, this can be a very useful SEO Tool.

However we’ve realized that it is almost useless to target high-frequency “Keywords”.

Some of our best pages doesn’t talk about “high-frequency” “Keywords”.

We have not appreciated a clear correlation between Popular “Keywords” and “Pageviews” received yet.

  • It makes sense: for popular Keywords there are much more Websites talking about it.

Then, how is Keywords Everywhere useful?

It allows you to guess what worries users most regarding a certain Topic.

Let’s see it with one helpful example:

3. How can you improve your SEO with AnswerThePublic and Keywords Everywhere together?

Imagine that we are planning to write a section about Business Plans (we actually have a whole section).

First: look for the term you’re interested about on AnswerThePublic.

In this case, for our example, we look for “Business Plan”.

* Remember: you must have Keywords Everywhere activated.

Second: Dive into the results.

We personally ignore all that web-maps.

  • They are nice to see, but completely useless.

As you can see, AnswerThePublic will show you the main “Queries” related to the term you looked for.

Third: Search for high frequency Queries.

Don’t settle with just one “miraculous” high-frequency.

Look for 3 to 4 related Queries that may give you a clue about what people is worried about.

For example, here we’ve found that people is not worried about a Business Plan’s structure, basics or software… What they really want are samples and templates.

  • Why don’t you create a sample generic template and share it with your users?

Now you’ve got it: you have to “read” these results and not use them just for picking a “Keyword”. That doesn’t work.

You have to elaborate content that fulfills your user’s needs. And these Tools, together, can give you a clue about what they want.

4. Google Analytics report: Users and Pageviews we had yesterday.

We started our website from scratch 3 months and 29 days ago.

Let’s see how it is doing:

Users:

As you can see at the Post’s top Picture, yesterday we had 16 users.

  • It seems that our numbers are improving.

Pageviews:

On the other hand, we had 19 unique Pageviews.

We are currently working on improving our Pageviews per User.

  • As soon as we define the strategy to follow, we’ll share it with you in this Diary.
    • We can’t settle with just one Pageview per User.
  • If you want to check out what we’ve done so far, our SEO strategy… visit our “3 months special” Post.

It is still August and the tendency is positive, no doubt.

We hope that on September, our numbers will continue growing.

Thanks for being there.

Tomorrow, more.
