Yesterday we had a problem with our WordPress Visual Editor.

It suddenly stopped working.

  • We hadn’t updated anything.
  • We hadn’t installed any new Plugin, Theme.
  • We hadn’t done anything new.

In the past we solved this problem by checking and un-checking the “Disable the visual editor while writing” option in “Your Profile” Menu.

However, this time, we couldn’t modify our User Profile.

When we tried to Update our Profile, we experienced an Error:

ERROR: Please enter the same password in both password fields.

We suspected that, what was causing our Visual Editor not to show, was preventing us from Updating our User Profile.

What was going on?

Now we’ll tell you where the problem was.

In case you don’t know, in this section we talk about our experience while building this Website: our SEO strategy, Themes, Plugins we use…

As usual, this Post will be divided into 2 different parts:

1. How we solved our Visual Editor and User Profile problems.

2. Our Today’s Google Analytics report: Users and Pageviews we have.

Let’s begin:

1. How we solved our Visual Editor and User Profile problems.

As we mentioned earlier, we had not modified anything on our Site, so we had no idea where to start.

However, we started to think about our ShortPixel Plugin.

  • In recent days it had shown us new “notices”, saying that our quota was exceeded, etc.

So we Deactivated it and… Everything worked perfectly again.

  • Our Visual Editor worked perfectly and we could modify our User Profile again.

In fact, since we always choose “light” images (mainly Gif) we don’t see the need to worry about Deactivating ShortPixel.

So, if you are experiencing these problems, think about your Plugins.

  • Even if they never gave you any problem.

2. Our Today’s Google Analytics report: Users and Pageviews we have.

As you can appreciate in the Post’s top image, our numbers keep increasing.

Users:

We are now getting close to 600 users per week.

  • We hope that next week we reach this number.

Yesterday , we had 127 Users.

  • Compare it with our first Publications, when we barely had 1 or 2.

Pageviews:

It seems that we have reached our goal of 100 daily Pageviews.

Now… We want to reach 200 Pageviews per day!

As always, thanks for being there.
