What is the ADDIE Model?

The ADDIE Model is a Tool that helps Create Successful Products through a Continuous Improvement cycle.

 

To do this, it proposes 5 Steps that must be repeated until the Final Design is achieved.

 

Its name is an acronym for these 5 Steps:

  • Analyze.
  • Design.
  • Develop.
  • Implement.
  • Evaluate.

Five Steps of the ADDIE Model

1. Analyze: Analyze in depth the Needs that the Product must cover.

  • Customer Preferences, Technical Specifications, etc.

 

2. Design: Define a Design that would Cover all those Needs.

  • The first Designs should be considered as approaches to be improved.

 

3. Develop: Build the Product following the Design specifications.

  • The first Product can be considered as a “Beta” ar an “Alpha” design.

 

4. Implement: The Product, or its modifications, should be Commercialized and Tested.

  • The Modifications developed, or the New Product must be put to the test.

 

5. Evaluate: Analyze and Assess the results Obtained.

  • Learn from your mistakes; what has worked and what has not.

 

Repeat the cycle until you have the Best Possible Design.
